"I Voted" Sticker:
In creating a voting sticker, I took advantage of the opportunity to hand draw a peace sign. I recognized how similar a "V" looks to the two fingers held up, so I chose to use the peace sign as the "V" in "I VOTED" itself. In addition to this, I also used an outward-facing blue gradient to attract attention towards the hand illustration.
Presidential Quote Poster:
For this inspirational poster, I utilized a Rutherford B. Hayes quote. I used a tree as a metaphor for life, and because one side of the tree was full of life while the other was barren, I wanted it to be representative of hopes and fears, respectively. I had multiple challenges formatting the type in an interesting and readable way, but I chose a variety of fonts and boldness to convey exaggeration and emotion throughout the piece.
Rolling Stone Magazine Cover:
I was given the prompt to make a mock Rolling Stone cover page for a given band: Rose Hill Drive. I used the same fonts from the original magazine title to try to stay traditional to the source material that I was attempting to imitate. However, I chose new fonts to give variety and emphasis to parts of the cover. I also used red boxes to outline pieces of text, allowing for more variety and readability.
"Codex" Logo:
I created this logo for myself in my free time to use for my YouTube channel. I chose to create a geometric series of triangles to spell out my name. In order to promote readability, I used contrasting colors with an overarching gradient to mark the flow of the text.
